Science Is Elementary
Science is Elementary is a resource publication containing inquiry-based activities for K-6 classrooms.
- Each issue includes at least 10 inquiry-based, hands-on, minds-on activities for
K-6 classrooms.
- The activities are designed to provide your students with the opportunity to investigate,
develop questions, and communicate their discoveries to each other and to a larger
audience.
- All activities are linked to the National Benchmarks and the National Education
Standards.
- Each volume covers a STEM topic and each issue (4 per volume) covers a different
aspect of the topic.

MITS has received a grant to provide 1 or more sets of back issues (Volumes 6 through 16) at no charge to interested K-8 educators. SIE sets can be mailed or picked up in person at the MITS office (call 617-328-1515 to make arrangements). If you elect to have your sets mailed, you will be asked to cover the cost of shipping ($12-$20 depending on the number of sets ordered). Volumes may only be ordered as a full set; individual issues will not be sent out.
